PROMOTIONAL FILM
CLIENT: RURAL AND URBAN TRAINING SCHEME (RUTS)
DATE: SEPTEMBER 2019
LOCATION: NEWTONGRANGE, EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND
Helmworks Film was commissioned by RUTS (Rural and Urban Training Scheme) to create a promotional video for the front page of their social media and brand new redesigned website. The goal was to create a film to explain what RUTS does, whilst also enticing young people to join the organisation.
RUTS is an organisation which provides vocational training to young people through the media of motorbikes, bicycles and boxing. They also provide support with areas such as employability. In order for the film to feel identifiable to the target audience, it was felt that it should be narrated primarily by the people who currently attend RUTS. This, coupled with cinematic visuals to show what RUTS offers in an exciting, and dynamic - but especially identifiable - way, was the key concept behind the film.
For this project, we had the pleasure of working with Tommy Karolyi for the very first time, who handled the editing. Look out for more projects with Tommy in the future! We had an amazing time working with the RUTS team, and we hope to do more work similar to this going forward. Thanks to Asher for getting us involved!
