We were invited by our good friends at the Scottish creative agency WeeWraith to film a promotional piece to showcase and market the beautiful Crieff Hydro Hotel and Resort in Perthshire, Scotland as a wedding venue for 2021. The brief was to tell the story of “A Perfect Day” at the hotel through the eyes of a bride, using long, sweeping, smooth shots to give the film a dreamy feel.

We were privileged to spend two days at the hotel creating this campaign, working closely with the hotel staff and filming primarily with our lightweight Sony A7III camera equipped with the 16-35mm f/2.8 G-Master lens, suspended on our Ronin-M gimbal hanging from a ReadyRig arms setup (essential when using the gimbal for several days continuously) - see the behind-the-scenes pictures (taken by Director Dave Jack) below. For high-quality aerial footage, we used our DJI Mavic Air 2.

As well as the filming, we also handled the editing and colour-grading process, creating the main hero overview film (above) in addition to 6 films showcasing each of the main wedding venue rooms. Turnaround times were tight, but we delivered all of the films well in time for the client’s Bridal Show.

Social distancing guidelines were followed at all times during this project. In the same week, we also created work for Crieff Hydro’s sister hotel, Peebles Hydro.
